Christa Watson is an actress and screenwriter from East Texas. She is a Christian missionary who uses her talents in filmmaking to travel the world to bring light and hope. Christa was born and raised on a farm in East Texas and has 3 sisters that have contributed to her love for acting and writing. As a child, Christa and her sisters often wrote short scripts and filmed them with their parents' VHS video camera. The most famous of the Watson films was never finished, but it involved a 3 wheeler chase.
Christa has been a part of production teams that have made evangelistic movies in Nepal and Indonesia, and she, herself, has used filmmaking to entertain and reach children and youth in places like Africa, Romania, and right here in the United States. In 2012, Christa volunteered as the assistant editor on the film "Technically Crazy" directed by Dan Riddle and Greg Shouse. Since then, she has edited on various projects and recently began writing film scripts. While living in Australia as a missionary with YWAM, Christa wrote and directed plays for missionary children, as well as assisted in teaching preschool. Christa has also acted in commercials for Dead City Films of Northern Virginia, Primary Care Associates of Longview, Texas, and in an East Texas Casa volunteer promo video. Christa recently played the role of Shannon in Paul Foster's thriller "Unwanted" and has done extra work for Disney's "National Treasure 2" directed by Jon Turteltaub. Her goal is to simply use her talents to share the love of Jesus Christ and bring a smile to people's faces.
